Tennis clay court maintenance
Despite the weather some of the maintenance was completed last Thursday. Courts 6 & 7 were decompacted, topped up with clay and relevelled and some patch repairs were made to courts 3 & 4 before the rain came. Hopefully, they will play a lot better. The contractors will return soon to check these repairs and also work on the ruck on court 5.

French Open Tennis on TV
The Finals matches will be shown on TV in the bar/clubhouse over the weekend. Approximate times are shown below.
Saturday 6 June: Men’s Doubles – 11.00am; Women’s Singles – 3.00pm.
Sunday 7 June: Women’s doubles – 11.00am; Men’s Singles – 3.00pm.

St Christopher’s Hospice
The hospice which, if you didn’t know, is housed in the large building opposite the Club on Lawrie Park Road, runs a network of charity shops to raise funds to support their work. They are trying to generate more stock to put into the shops, so we now have a donation bin on site where you can drop off any unwanted items that might be suitable for resale, such as clothing, books, etc. You will find the bin behind the screen in the clubhouse foyer – it will be emptied regularly.
