Club Tournament Finals Day – Saturday 21 September 2024
The culmination of the annual competitions that started back in April.
Tennis finals start at 11.00am and play through to around 5.00pm: Men’s & Women’s Singles, Men’s & Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles – first played for in 1900 – plus 40 & Over Men’s Singles, 45 & Over Women’s Singles, 55 & Over Men’s Singles, 60 & Over Mixed Doubles, Men’s & Women’s Plate events, and the Roger De Klerk Memorial Trophy for Improver/Intermediate level players.
Squash finals start at 11.30am with the Plate event, followed by the Open Singles and presentations at 12.30pm.
The bar will open from 10.30am with pop up takeaway available to buy from lunchtime. Look out for the full order of play from 16 September on the Club noticeboards and come along to watch – it’s always a great day!
Halloween Quiz Night – Friday 25 October 2024
Dust off your thinking caps for the Halloween edition of our popular quiz night. Join regular host Jeff Richards for an evening of fun with family and friends – the bar will be open from 6.30pm with the quiz starting at 7.30pm. Book early to secure your place as numbers are limited to 8 teams.
You can enter as a team or an individual. To book please contact Jeff on 07769565095 or at jeff.richards@rcn.org.uk with your name and, if you are entering a team, your team’s name and the number of people in the team (max 6). Don’t worry if you can’t make up a team or would like to come on your own – Jeff will allocate you to a team on the night. Entry: Adults £3 – Children £2.
American Doubles Tournament – Friday 1 November 2024
The next tournament will take place during the Autumn half-term week – beginning at 7.00pm. You will play a game of mixed doubles for 15 minutes before everything changes – the court you play on, the opposing team, and even your doubles partner! All playing categories are welcome to take part. Find out more here.
