Tennis coaching for adults

There are several coaching options for adults of all abilities. This includes structured group coaching programmes, drop-in classes, beginner coaching courses or individual private lessons. Coaching is open to members and non-members.

Group Tennis Coaching
The regular coaching programme caters for all abilities from beginner to advanced. We offer daytime and evening coaching. Group typically have up to 8 players spread over 2 courts. Coaches are qualified and licensed.

Lessons last one hour. The first tennis lesson is free and subsequent lessons cost £6 for members/£8 non-members. Fees are pre-paid per term using our online booking system. Your place is confirmed when payment is received.

Community Tennis Programme – drop-in classes for all levels
The community tennis programme offers a range of evening and daytime coaching sessions. These drop-in classes are pay-as-you-go and available during term-time and the holidays. The programmes cater for Beginners, Improvers, Intermediates and Over 40s.

Introductory courses for adult beginners
The club offers a six-week Introduction to Tennis course for people who want to learn tennis or haven’t played in a while and want a refresher course. The course is open to non-members only. The pre-paid course fee is £35 and booking is essential as places are limited. For more information about the course, contact the Club Manager Dez Lewington (

Individual tennis coaching
We have qualified tennis coaches at the club offering individual coaching aimed at improving your overall game. The cost of a lesson is £25 per hour for members/£30 non-members.
