Squash Courts
We have had to reschedule the refurbishment of the squash courts to week commencing 16 October. Unfortunately, the contractors suffered a major break in at their headquarters and are unable to attend this week. Therefore, the courts are open again to book and club play will run as usual on Wednesday evening.

Volunteer Awards 
At the AGM last year, two new awards were announced to recognise the contribution of members in various volunteer capacities. This year’s AGM is approaching and we are looking for nominations for these awards.
If you think someone should be honoured at the AGM, please put your nomination forward to me by email – deadline for nominations is Monday 2 October 2023 – with a brief explanation of why you think this person is deserving.
The Volunteer award is for both short and long term contributions and the Special Recognition award for longer term service to the Club. You will find full details of the criteria for these awards here.

Andrew Lewis
And speaking of valued volunteers, a memorial bench for Andrew Lewis is now in place looking over tennis court 7, and was much used over Finals Day last weekend. Andrew’s mother Jane donated the bench for which we are very grateful. Andrew joined the Board of Directors as Events & Marketing Director in 2004 and served as Club Chair between 2008 and 2010.
