Newsletter – 29 April 2022

Published on April 28, 2022 by in SLTCC news

Entries close on Tuesday 3 May for this year’s annual club tournaments. More entries from women members would be great – there is a new Women’s 45 & over singles, and lots of men looking for mixed doubles partners!
Members can play in a maximum of 4 events and MUST be available to play on Finals Day Saturday 17 September to enter. You will find full rules in the Members area of the website and in the clubhouse foyer.
Please note that the clubhouse will again act as a polling station for local elections on Thursday 5 May.

Pickleball Demonstration & Taster – Sunday 15 May 2022
Former member Richard Cory will be leading a session to try out the fast-growing sport of pickleball. Pickleball uses a paddle (bat) and plastic airflow ball. The session will run from 12.00-2.00pm and all members are welcome to come along.
We are considering marking out pickleball courts as part of the new tennis court development to allow for wider use and community activities, so your feedback would be very useful. You can find out more about Pickleball here.
