Covid-19 update
The next phase of restrictions being relaxed comes into force on 17 May 2021. For the Club, this should allow for a further expansion of activities on the path back to normality.
However, we are still awaiting detailed guidance from sports governing bodies, which will need to be reviewed prior to any changes being implemented.
Therefore, we will make a full announcement on Monday 17 May regarding such things as: squash & racketball return to play and reopening of courts; times and organisation of tennis club play sessions; and reopening of the bar & clubhouse facilities.

ClubSpark
Several members have reported problems using ClubSpark recently. This will almost certainly be due to the update that I mentioned a few weeks ago.
ClubSpark and the LTA want to migrate everyone to use the LTA member login option, rather than offering several alternatives as at the moment. Obviously, this means that you will need to set up as a LTA member if you don’t currently have an account.
You should have received a direct email from ClubSpark providing details and taking you through the process. Please check junk and spam folders as this email is system-generated. However, there appear to be some glitches in the system causing issues.
If you experience difficulties, you have the option of continuing with your existing login whilst these ‘bugs’ are being sorted out, as the changeover has a deadline of November 2021.

Tennis Courts 3 & 4
There are several ‘dead’ patches on the above courts. I am aware of the issue, and am waiting for a date when the repairs will be undertaken by the contractors that laid the courts.
We experienced a similar situation a couple of years ago. The cause is mainly due to variations in weather conditions causing the carpet to contract and expand, and unsticking from the underlying surface.
