Following the Government statement on 22 February, there is at last some good news regarding the reopening of playing facilities at the Club.

The tennis courts and croquet lawn will be open for play from Monday 29 March 2021 – the booking system will be available from 15 March 2021.

Bookings will be limited to the ‘rule of 6’, so that means both tennis singles and doubles play will be allowed. For croquet, six players can meet and play a singles and doubles on the lawn at the same time.

Unfortunately, whilst the squash courts have to remain closed at present, it appears that these facilities could open up during stage 2 and/or 3 in April/May.

Obviously, all national guidelines on social distancing and hygiene should be observed at all times. Hand sanitizer will be available at all entrances to courts and buildings.

We are still awaiting the full details of what is and isn’t permitted and what restrictions will be in place, eg access to buildings, toilets/changing, club play, tournaments, etc. Toby will be available for individual lessons, but we still need clarification on group numbers before we can confirm coaching sessions and holiday camps.

We will keep you informed regarding developments by newsletter as usual, as well as through our social media platforms. Also, keep an eye on the website for additional information.
