There are a few maintenance items on the agenda over the coming weeks…

Croquet lawn
The lawn will close on 18 October 2020 for the end of the season. Autumn work will be completed by the end of the month, with a soil conditioner treatment prior to reseeding to repair patches.

Squash courts
Court 2 will be out of action for a few hours on Monday from 1000-1300 so that repairs can be made to the crack in the side wall and the court lines can be remarked.

Tennis courts 1 & 2
These courts are scheduled for repainting this Autumn, as well as some minor repairs. The courts will be unavailable for about a week whilst the work is undertaken. Dates are not confirmed at the moment, but should be early November.

Tennis courts 3 & 4
The Club Board of Directors agreed this week to go ahead with replacing the existing lights on Courts 3 & 4 with LED floodlighting. Again, the courts will be out of action for a couple of days whilst the work takes place.
LED lighting will give a much better quality light, ready for the Winter, as well as cost savings to the Club in terms of energy costs and maintenance. This is part of the Club’s drive to become more environmentally friendly.
