Following recent Government statements and updated advice from the relevant governing bodies, please read the following important updates and reminders.

We have had one report from a neighbour regarding activity at the Club, which resulted in a police visit. Therefore, I cannot stress enough that, we all need to commit to the guidelines in order to avoid fines and potential closure.

General hygiene guidance and restrictions
Pre-visit, all players should consider whether they are displaying any symptoms of Covid-19., and should not attend the Club if so. The Government Hands – Face – Space guidance should be followed. Full details on symptoms and guidance can be found here.
Unfortunately, the clubhouse will stay closed for the time being, including the kitchen area, which is isolated for use by the pre-school.
The clubhouse foyer area should only be accessed for Courts 1 & 2 floodlighting and tennis ball recycling – only one person at a time is permitted in the foyer, excluding staff. Please use the sanitizer provided on entry/exit of the foyer.
Sanitizer is also available on all tennis court gates, squash building entrance and croquet chalet, so please use frequently when touching communal equipment and entrances.

NHS Test and Trace
In addition to our own records, we are supporting the adoption of the NHS contact tracing app. You can download the app onto a smartphone from either the Google Play store for Android or the App store for iPhone.
There are posters with barcodes to scan into the app around the site, and on all building entrances. You can find out more information here.

Croquet & Tennis club play
We are pleased to say that club play will continue for now. Members attending still need to sign a register with the person running the session. This is usually Jane for croquet, Bill for Wednesday evening tennis and me for Sunday morning tennis.
Club play is still exempt from the rule of 6 under Covid secure conditions. However, once off court, the general rule of 6 guidelines DO apply. Because of the difficulties in designating groups of 6, we are asking that ALL members maintain individual social distancing at a minimum of 2m when not playing unless from the same household.
This will be under review over the next couple of weeks to see if we can comply, otherwise we may have no alternative but to cancel club play.

Squash building
The squash courts will remain open for restricted play under Covid secure conditions. Squash and racketball can be played as previously outlined by England Squash here. By playing you are accepting responsibility for adhering to these rules
The building will still be accessible to all members for toilets, drinking water and tennis court floodlighting, but please remember to limit the numbers in the changing rooms at any time to allow for safe social distancing, and use the sanitizer at the entrance door on entry/exit.

Keep safe and well
