Latest update on restrictions to play
The Government released another statement on 23 June regarding the next phase of opening up society from 4 July 2020. However, there will be no immediate changes to the guidelines for tennis, croquet and coaching activity.
As a reminder this means that all tennis court equipment still has to be kept off court, eg benches, net winders, court brushes, etc. I appreciate that this means the courts cannot be maintained to their best at times, but we must adhere to the guidelines.
We will review the implications of the statement for the bar and clubhouse and I’ll update on that next week. Toilets and washing facilities in the squash court building will remain open as long as good social distancing and hygiene practices are kept.

Squash & Racketball subscriptions
Unfortunately, it appears that Squash and Racketball are still off limits under the latest statement. There is some optimism that the sports could be part of the next relaxation of restrictions in mid July, but it is very likely that any return to play will be accompanied by strict conditions on hygiene, so there is no guarantee that we could reopen.
Therefore, we have decided to suspend all membership payments from the 1 July 2020. When we have information that makes it clear we can return to play, you will receive an email confirming your status and payment details. Of course, any period you have not been able to use facilities will be added to your membership term.

Junior membership
In case members are not aware, and want something to do with the kids, any full member can apply for a FREE junior membership for a child under 8 years.
All our junior memberships offer great value, even after the free period ends. Fees for 8-11 years are only £60, and 12-17 years are £70. Please contact me for information.

Keep safe and well
