Squash court building – safety matters
Contractors will be on site within the next couple of weeks to repair the roof panels on the Squash court building. However, the strong winds this week caused more damage to the existing panels, in particular alongside Tennis court 1.
Therefore, we have taken the precaution of cordoning off an area around the building that includes the cycle racks. Please use either the bar or squash court corridor to secure bicycles for the time being, and be aware of your safety when using the path adjacent to the building.

Tennis
All tennis members are allocated a playing category. This category will affect what club play sessions you can attend and where you enter the Singles leagues for example. The levels move though Beginner, Improver, Intermediate, Advanced (Experienced/Team).
You will often be advised by either me or one of the Coaching team if you need to change level, but you can get a more formal assessment from Anthony Marien, who will advise on requirements for the different levels.
Anthony will now be holding an open session every month for assessments – the first is on Wednesday 22 January from 7-9pm. Please let me know if you would like to attend.

Safeguarding Survey
Further to my emails prior to Christmas, the LTA conducted a Safeguarding audit of the Club on 15 December 2019. You will see more posters around the site regarding welfare matters, and there are copies of the Safeguarding and Diversity & Inclusion policies available in the Clubhouse foyer.
Part of the audit was a request for members to complete a survey to provide feedback. Only 16 responses have been received so far, so the survey will remain open until 1200 on Wednesday 22 January. The survey will take around 5 minutes to complete – please use the following link here.
