Squash Club Play
Since Thursday club night became a more regular fixture this year, it has become very popular, and a great way for new members to meet others too. There will be a Winter break soon, so if you haven’t tried it out Pete, David and Anthony would love to see you. If you only play tennis why not try out squash as it is only an extra £60 a year to become an All Sport member! The last session this year will be 28 November 2019.

Tennis Club Play
There are a few minor changes to club play times and court allocation. Full details are on available on the website here. There are also posters on the noticeboards at the Club.

Tennis Club Play balls
Whilst on the subject of club play, new or once-used balls are provided for most sessions, which is very unusual compared to other Clubs. However, my feeling is that this isn’t always appreciated – for example balls are often left on court after play. The Club spends over £3000 per year on balls – so we are going on a recycling effort!
From next week, there will be a recycling bin in the clubhouse foyer – please deposit balls into the bin after use rather than court bins. Also, we have invested in equipment that maintains the pressure of balls so that they can be reused. Finally, in these times of climate change this is good for the environment too!
