Many thanks to all members who supported with Open Day last Bank Holiday Monday.

We made the decision this year to make the event much more low key as adult tennis membership levels in particular are very high at the moment. Instead, we were trying to attract more juniors into tennis coaching and membership.

Unfortunately, the excellent weather went against us in this respect as the number of families attending was much lower than usual – perhaps preferring a day out on the coast!

However, the lower numbers meant that we could give much more attention to those in attendance, and so most of the attendees have committed to further activity at the Club.

To date we have confirmed 12 new tennis members (7 x adult & 5 x junior) and 4 new Croquet members; also we have 10 juniors attending trial coaching sessions and 3 bookings for our next Beginners course – so still a successful day overall.
