Thank you for taking the time to find out more about how you could contribute to the club house renovation working party. However much – or little time – you can spare will be much appreciated and will make the difference between getting this project off the ground – or having to shelve it for the foreseeable future.
Why is renovating the club house so important?
The club house renovation project is important to the future of the club, not only in terms of providing better facilities for all our members, but because it will also help us continue to attract new members. A better club house will also allow us to increase our income from lettings and the bar so that we can keep subscriptions at affordable levels, encourage greater inclusivity and maintain the club’s facilities to the highest standard.
How can you help?
Here are some examples of the jobs we need to tackle as a team:
- Identifying sources of grants and loans
- Putting together funding applications
- Identifying a suitable surveyor and architect
- Liaising between the Board and the project manager
- Recommending fundraising ideas
- Administration including work planning, progress chasing and records
Only have a few hours to spare?
It doesn’t matter how much or how little time you can spare or how long you can commit to helping, we’d love to hear from you.
Have more time on your hands?
Recently retired or between jobs? Or perhaps you’d like to enhance your CV or learn new skills. If so, you may be interested in leading the working party and co-ordinating its fundraising activities. This is a voluntary Board position and a detailed job description can be viewed here.
How do I get involved?
If you think you can spare some time to help with any of the above, please contact Peter Lewis at info@sltcc.co.uk for a no-obligation chat to find out how you could get involved.
