Tennis FAQs

As a member, do I need to pay to attend regular Club Play sessions?
No, only where there is coaching and an agreed fee eg over 40s sessions on Friday mornings.

Do I need to wear any special clothing?
The club does not operate a ‘tennis whites’ policy. Players are welcome to wear coloured tennis/sportswear but we do recommend wearing appropriate non-slip tennis/sports shoes on court.

Will my membership category change as my playing standard improves?
Yes, a copy of our policy ‘Moving categories’ is posted in the foyer and is also available here. If you feel ready to move categories you are recommended to discuss this with any coach/club session supervisor before your nomination goes forward.  A similar process is used for ‘nominated’ juniors who pay an extra sub on next renewal.

Are there any coaching camps for juniors in the holidays?
Yes, there are very popular junior half-term, Easter and summer camps, held mornings or afternoons according to age.  For more information or to sign up visit our camps page or email us at info@sltcc.co.uk.
