Club Tournament Rules 2025

  • ONLY FULLY PAID UP MEMBERS ARE ELIGIBLE TO PLAY!
  • Failure to pay subscriptions will lead to your opponent being automatically put through to the next round.
  • Finals Day is Saturday 13 September 2025 – you MUST be available for Finals Day in order to enter, as well as the reserve evening of Friday 12 September in case of scheduling issues on the day.
  • Players at the top of the draw take responsibility for arranging the match and booking the court – matches can be played on either clay or tarmacadam courts.
  • It is the responsibility of the player at the bottom of the draw to supply tennis balls in good condition and share the cost accordingly – tennis balls are available to purchase from the clubhouse bar.
  • If a match is not completed by deadline, the player at the bottom of the draw will go through to the next round, unless there are exceptional circumstances presented by the top drawn player/pair.
  • Each match in the main events (Men’s & Women’s singles, and Men’s, Women’s & Mixed doubles) is the best of three tie-break sets: a tie-break to 7 points to be played at 6-6 in each set.
  • All other events (Age categories, Roger De Klerk Trophy and Plate) will play two tie-break sets – a tie-break to 7 points to be played at 6-6 in each set – followed by a match tie-break to 10 points instead of a full third set if required.
  • It is the responsibility of the match winner to post the result online.
  • Any queries or complaints should be addressed to the Tournament organisers.
  • In all circumstances the Tournament organisers decision is final!
