A reminder that entry is now open for the annual tennis tournaments, which will run over spring/summer.
Finals Day will be Saturday 12 September 2026, with some Finals played on Friday 11 September, and you MUST be available to play on both days to enter.
The following tennis events will be held this year:
Men’s & Women’s Open Singles
Men’s & Women’s Open Doubles
Open Mixed Doubles
Men’s 40 & Over, 55 & Over, and 65 & Over Singles
Women’s 45 & Over Singles
60 & Over Mixed Doubles
The following squash/racketball events will be held this year:
Open Squash Singles
Open Racketball Singles
Again, there will be a Plate competition in both main singles events for players who lose their first scheduled match. Hopefully, this will encourage even more of you to enter!
Entry is £5 per event – please note that both players will need to enter to make up a doubles pair.
There are considerable costs associated with running the tournaments, the trophies and engraving alone cost £1500 last year, so this year a small entry fee has been implemented.
As the Club has two major projects in development, it was decided that these resources could be saved and contribute towards the new tennis court and squash building redevelopment.
Remember that you can only enter events that are covered by your membership, e.g. Tennis only members cannot enter squash events and vice versa.

Once you have submitted your entry form, I’ll send you details to make payment.If you need a partner for a doubles event, please email me before entering.
You will find full tournament rules in the Members area of the website, in the clubhouse foyer, and squash court corridor. It is very important that you read the scoring format for each event.
The Club reserves the right to cancel an event if there are insufficient entries.
